UNBRIDLED: THE CAMPAIGN FOR
BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY
A nonprofit Idaho organization, the Boise State University Foundation was established in 1964 to
empower Boise State University with the resources necessary to thrive.
Everything we do is to strengthen Boise State University.
In fall 2023, the Boise State Foundation publicly launched Unbridled: The Campaign for Boise State
University with a goal of raising $500M by 2028.
The numbers are compelling. In the 2024 calendar year alone, our community contributed $17.7M for
faculty and research support, $22.1M toward student support, $43.7M for athletics and $10M for other
areas.
As of May 31, 2025, the campaign has raised $418.46M in support of three key pillars: student access and
success, faculty innovation and What’s Next for Athletics. Behind these statistics are unknowable ripples
of impact that will last generations to come as these students earn their degrees, toss their caps on
graduation day and charge into the world, ready to make it a better place for all of us.
Part of what drives our work is our belief in Boise State and the opportunities it provides for our
students, our faculty, our staff, our alumni and friends and our state. We are also driven in particular by
a deep need across Idaho for financial assistance as students pursue their career and life goals through
higher education.

education. I really, really would not be able to pursue my bachelor’s
education if I didn’t have scholarships.”
